Awareness glossary

Term Meaning
Auto-training Awareness assigns training itself every cycle, on the topics where someone is below the target level. See Automatic training.
Badge A reward for an achievement, such as a series of perfect trainings.
Baseline assessment A short assessment per topic that establishes what someone already knows. See The baseline assessment.
Campaign A training, lesson or exercise that a group receives at the same time, with a duration. See Campaigns.
Completion rate The share of assigned trainings that have been finished.
Cycle The period in which auto-training assigns a new round of training, for example every month.
Grace period Extra days after the deadline in which a training can still be finished.
HRS Human Risk Score, the risk score. See The risk score.
ISO The role for the information security officer: manages campaigns, the baseline assessment and auto-training, but not employees or settings.
Knowledge decay Knowledge that has not been tested for a long time drops a level after a while. The topic then comes back in auto-training.
MFA Logging in with a second factor in addition to your password. See Logging in and second factor.
Module A part of Awareness that the administrator can switch on or off, such as the phishing test or the leaderboard.
Passkey Logging in with your fingerprint, face or a security key, instead of a code.
Phishing A fake message that tries to tempt you into opening a link, handing over information or making a payment.
Red flag A sign that a message is fake, such as a strange sender address or time pressure.
Red-flag spotter An exercise in which you mark what is wrong with an email or document.
Safety score What an employee sees on Home: 100 minus the risk score. The higher, the better.
Streak The number of days in a row on which you have done something in Awareness.
Stretch mode Someone at target level is offered one level higher.
Target level The level (1 to 10) your organisation wants to reach for each topic. Set under Auto-training, tab Baseline goals.
