When these terms apply
These terms apply to every trial, every module subscription and every Active Directory assessment from secctl.io. “We” and “us” mean secctl.io. “You” means the organisation entering into the agreement.
secctl.io only supplies organisations, not consumers. Other terms, including your organisation’s own, only apply if we both agree to them in writing.
The trial
You can try a module free for 30 days. You don’t enter any payment details. A week before the end, you’ll get an email.
After 30 days the trial ends by itself, unless you choose a subscription. If you don’t, you pay nothing and we send no invoice. We keep your data for another 30 days, so you can still continue. After that we delete it.
The subscription
For each module you choose to pay monthly or yearly.
- Monthly. At the end of each calendar month you get an invoice for that month. You can cancel at the end of any calendar month, with no notice period.
- Yearly. You pay 10 months for a year. The invoice comes in advance, for the number of employees at the start. If employees are added, we invoice them pro rata each quarter. The subscription renews every year unless you cancel at least one month before the renewal date.
You cancel by email. We confirm your cancellation by email.
Prices
Prices are on the pricing page and exclude VAT. For Awareness you pay a starter package of €83 a month, including 25 employees, and per employee beyond that. An employee counts in a calendar month if they have an active account in that month.
Your price is fixed for the current month or year. If we want to change a price, we tell you by email at least two months in advance. You can then cancel free of charge before the new price applies.
Payment
You pay an invoice within 14 days of the invoice date.
The Active Directory assessment
We only start an assessment once your organisation has signed a letter of authorisation and we have agreed the scope in writing. In it you confirm that you are authorised to give permission for the systems in that scope. We never test outside the scope.
You can cancel an assessment free of charge up to 5 working days before the agreed start. We invoice after delivering the report. A retest within 90 days of delivery is included.
What we ask of you
- Keep sign-in details secret and make sure only the right people have an account.
- Don’t use secctl.io to break the law or to harm others.
- Give us the information we need to deliver, and keep it up to date.
Availability and maintenance
We do our best to keep the modules available at all times, but we don’t promise an availability percentage. We announce planned maintenance that you will notice in advance.
Your data
The data processing agreement applies to personal data we process on your behalf. It is part of every agreement with secctl.io, including the trial. The data in your environment remains yours.
Liability
If secctl.io is liable for damage, liability is limited to the amount you paid secctl.io in the 12 months before the damage occurred. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost revenue. These limits don’t apply in the case of intent or deliberate recklessness.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we email you the new version at least two months before it applies. If you don’t agree, you can cancel free of charge before it applies.
Law and disputes
These terms and every agreement with secctl.io are governed by Dutch law. If we can’t resolve a dispute together, the competent court in the Netherlands decides. If this English text and the Dutch text differ, the Dutch text prevails.
